READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT
Whilst Schar’s attacking play is being heavily praised following goals for Newcastle and Switzerland in recent weeks, it should not detract from his ability as a defender.
This statistic shows that he reads the game well at the back and is one of the best defenders in the Premier League at intercepting passes from the opposition.
Newcastle will be hoping that he can continue his early season form throughout the entire campaign and lead the club to a safe midtable finish in the league.
