# Krafth enjoying time in England – has he been a good signing so far?

Newcastle defender Emil Krafth has admitted that he is very happy at the club and looking forward to his future on Tyneside.

The right-back signed for Newcastle from Amiens over the summer and has started three of the club’s four Premier League matches so far this season.

[Speaking to the Shields Gazette,](https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/emil-krafth-gives-insight-into-newcastle-uniteds-dressing-room-494267) Krafth said this:

> It’s been good so far. I think, compared to the French league, it’s similar. It’s a physical league here in England. I knew that was coming. I’m very happy to be here, and I’m looking forward to playing a lot more games.

### READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT

Has Krafth been a good signing so far for Newcastle?

Although he had a tough debut away to Norwich, Krafth has impressed in Newcastle’s last two matches – a 1-1 draw with Watford and a 1-0 win over Tottenham.

Krafth was too easily beaten down the flank against Norwich, losing multiple individual duels and allowing the likes of Teemu Pukki, Emi Buendia and Todd Cantwell too much space to work with.

However, he appears to have learned his lesson from the defeat as he was much-improved against Tottenham – working hard to close down Heung-Min Son and Danny Rose to prevent them from getting crosses into the box.

If he can continue to put in the type of performances we have seen in the last two games, Krafth will be a solid addition to Newcastle’s squad at right-back.
