Newcastle will reportedly have a transfer budget of £50m next summer if they avoid relegation down to the Championship this season.
According to The Chronicle, Bruce will be handed £50m to continue building his squad if he can keep the club in the Premier League.

It is not always about how much you spend on a player, so judging recruitment off a potential transfer budget is not the best way of going about things.
Just look at Fabian Schar. He was brought in for a reported £3.6m and has been a rock solid defender for the club in his time in England so far, which shows that you can find value in the market without spending massive amounts of money.
