# These Newcastle fans react to Kenedy’s potential move to Getafe

Former Newcastle loanee Kenedy is set to sign for Spanish side Getafe on loan from Chelsea on deadline day.

The Brazilian spent the 201718 and 2018/19 seasons on loan to Newcastle in the Premier League, but the club opted against bringing him back for a third year this summer.

£30m for Kenedy?

> Twitter: @ChrisDHWaugh Funny how they wanted 30 million off us last season now they can’t wait to get him out the door (@gary\_halman)

Can he be bothered?

### READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT

The young midfielder impressed in his first year for Newcastle under Rafa Benitez, but failed to replicate his form in his second campaign on Tyneside – resulting in his move to Getafe this summer.

He was given a [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/132838/History/Kenedy)rating of 6.95/10 for his first spell with Newcastle, but his performances dropped to an average of 6.55/10 last season. This suggests that he was unable to maintain the high standards he set during his initial loan.

Kenedy will now be looking to impress at Getafe as he potentially looks to secure a future at Chelsea, or a permanent move to the Spanish side.
