Newcastle were dumped out of the League Cup on penalties by fellow Premier League side Leicester on Wednesday.
Kasper Schmeichel saved two penalties for the Foxes, knocking Newcastle out of the competition.
Along with the loss, Newcastle were forced to take right-back Emil Krafth in the 50th minute after sustaining a knock just before half-time.

READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT
Although it is never nice to see a player go down injured, losing Emil Krafth for a game or two is not the end of the world for Newcastle.
With an international break coming up after the game against Watford this weekend, he will have plenty of time to recover from his knock over the next few weeks.
With Javier Manquillo also waiting in the wings as a solid back-up option, Steve Bruce knows that he is covered at right-back if Krafth is out for a considerable period of time.
The defender, however, did impress in the last two games – against Leicester and Tottenham – and looks to be settling in well since his move to the club over the summer.
