Newcastle secured their first win of the campaign on Sunday as they beat Tottenham 1-0 in the Premier League.
Brazilian forward Joelinton scored the only goal of the game, his first for the club since his record move from German side Hoffenheim.
The result followed a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal and a 3-1 hammering at the hands of newly-promoted Norwich, meaning that it was the perfect reaction to a poor start.
