Will Newcastle regret not being able to sign N’Soki this summer?
Quite possibly. The young defender can play at centre-back, defensive midfield and left-back, making him a valuable squad member for Nice if the move is finalised.
Newcastle lack options at left-back and N’Soki could have come in and nailed down the position as his own – allowing Matt Ritchie to play further forward where he could get into better crossing positions. This would have potentially created more chances for Joelinton going forward, meaning that a deal for N’Soki could have improved both Newcastle’s attacking and defending.
If he now goes to Nice and shines in Ligue 1, Newcastle will surely be left frustrated that they did not bring him to England.
