Newcastle players who need to impress against Leicester

Newcastle welcome Leicester to St. James’ Park on Wednesday in the second round of the League Cup.

Due to being Premier League clubs, both sides were given a pass from the first round of the competition.

Steve Bruce’s side come into the game after picking up three points from their opening three Premier League games. The Toon lost to Arsenal and Norwich, before beating Champions League finalists Tottenham on Sunday.

Joelinton scored the only goal of the game, as he brought the ball down in the box before clinically finishing into the bottom corner.

Bruce, however, has a number of injury concerns heading into this match, with several players set to be out.
