After watching the way the side has been set up in the opening two matches, this statistic comes as no surprise.
With five defenders at the back and a lack of creativity in midfield, Newcastle have not been trying to play intricate passes in and around the box. Instead, Bruce has seemingly set his side up to pump crosses into the area for Joelinton to win.
So far, that tactic has not been effective, with Joelinton struggling to produce as he adapts to Premier League football. Miguel Almiron has also failed to impress, with the former MLS star yet to register a goal or assist since his move to the club in January.
