# Owen wants to see more from Joelinton – promising signs?

Former Liverpool and Newcastle forward Michael Owen says that he wants to see more from Joelinton.

Owen has predicted a win for Spurs on Sunday, whilst saying that Miguel Almiron and Joelinton need to do more for Newcastle.

> The Magpies need more from their expensive signings Joelinton – who spurned a gilt-edged opportunity at Carrow Road – and Miguel Almiron but they may need more time to gel. In the meantime, I can’t see anything other than a comfortable home win.

Has there been some promising signs from Joelinton in his first two competitive games for Newcastle?

Some, for sure. The way he dribbled past several Arsenal players on his debut before firing a tame shot at Bernd Leno was a glimpse at what he could possibly be capable of when fully firing.

The 23-year-old has also won 10 aerial duels in his two matches, which suggests that he is talented in the air. This could prove to be a useful attribute due to the quality of Matt Ritchie’s crosses from the left. However, he did miss a good chance against Norwich with his head, although he could have been put off by the jump of defender Grant Hanley in front of him.
