Newcastle United predicted XI: Tottenham Hotspur (A)

Steve Bruce’s reign as Newcastle United manager has begun in the worst possible manner as the Magpies have lost their first two Premier League games.

After losing 1-0 to Arsenal at home, Norwich City comprehensively beat them 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Teemu Pukki.

The 18th-placed Magpies next take on Tottenham Hotspur at their own backyard. Spurs who are currently 6th in the league table drew their last match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Bruce will be hoping that his team comes back strongly after two successive defeats but winning against Mauricio Pochettino’s side seems farfetched judging by how the Magpies have played so far.

The last time Newcastle beat Spurs in their own backyard was back in 2015 when the club used to play at White Hart Lane. Bruce and his team will be hoping for a similar result on Sunday. Even a draw against the Champions League runners-up can boost the Magpies’ spirits.

Now, here is our predicted XI for the game…
