READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT
Newcastle fans were always going to be frustrated at seeing their rivals potentially being taken over by billionaires, why wouldn’t they?
Mike Ashley has come in for criticism during his time at the club and Newcastle currently sit in the bottom three in the Premier League after losing their opening two games.
However, money does not equate to success and there is no guarantee that Sunderland’s takeover leads to promotion to the Championship, let alone to the Premier League.
At this moment in time, Newcastle fans should be more focussed on the Premier League campaign at hand, rather than what Sunderland may or may not be doing.
