According to Football Insider, Newcastle United striker Elias Sorensen has agreed to join Carlisle United on a season-long loan.
The report states that Steve Bruce is more than happy to allow the 19-year-old to leave before the window closes in order to gain regular first-team football.

However, on Thursday, the forward was asked by The Chronicle on his immediate future, with the player revealing he was determined to stay at St James’ Park.
It’s up to the manager now. It depends what he wants me to do.
Personally I’d rather stay and fight for a place, but it’s up to him. If he wants me to go out on loan I’ll do that.
However, many Newcastle fans were split down the middle on whether or not the Denmark Under-21 international should remain around the squad this season.

It’s a tricky call for Bruce to make. The player definitely has plenty of potential and a season-long loan could be the best for his development.
However, if Newcastle are struck with a series of injuries to their three senior forwards Joelinton, Dwight Gayle and Andy Carroll, Sorensen would more than likely be the next in line.
Personally, I would send the teenager out on loan, however, a recall clause should definitely be included. It would allow the forward to test himself in a physical league, and would also give Bruce the opportunity to bring him back across the course of the campaign if he needs to.
