Newcastle fans fearing the worst after Saint-Maximin’s hamstring injury
Allan Saint-Maximin is being considered as a doubt to face Norwich on Saturday after suffering a hamstring injury.
It was confirmed by Steve Bruce during his press conference on Friday morning, as reported by the Telegraph’s Luke Edwards.
The news comes as a major blow for the Magpies as many had hoped to see the Frenchman receive his first start in a Newcastle shirt.
If the reactions from these fans on Twitter is anything to go by, his absence is only going to add to the ill feelings among supporters at this moment in time.

Missing Saint-Maximin will be a big blow for Bruce and Newcastle. There was genuine hope that he could come into the side and make a real impact at Carrow Road.
Being without one of their big summer signings will not help the uncertain and anxious mood at the club and Bruce will be hoping that the injury is nothing too serious.
Newcastle have tough games against Tottenham, Leicester and Liverpool on the horizon, so they’ll need to be able to rely upon players like Saint-Maximin over the coming weeks.
For Saint-Maximin, he’s a player who arrived at the club with a lot of potential and hype. This injury only prevents him from getting up to speed in the Premier League and a slow start to life in England will only add to the pressure on his shoulders.
