Newcastle United start their 2019/20 Premier League campaign against Arsenal at St. James’ Park tomorrow.
The Magpies, who ended 13th in the league last season, will be hoping for a better season under new manager Steve Bruce. However, they start off against a tough Arsenal side who have made some solid additions to their squad.
Newcastle did not have the best of starts to their pre-season, as they began with a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Wolves. They beat West Ham, before losing 2-1 to Preston North End. However, Steve Bruce’s side ended the pre-season well by beating Hibernian and Saint-Etienne.
The Magpies made four signings this summer, which included record signing Joelinton, Allan Sain-Maxmin, Andy Carroll and Emil Krafth.
On paper, Arsenal look stronger than Newcastle but you never know when the Magpies could spring up an upset like they did against Manchester City in January.
Here is how the Magpies could line up against Arsenal tomorrow.
