# Bowen keen on Newcastle move – can they get a deal over the line?

Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen is reportedly interested in a move to Newcastle United this summer.

[According to The Chronicle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-target-jarrod-bowen-16651366), Bowen is understood to be keen on joining Newcastle from Hull, amid interest from Steve Bruce’s side.

The report claims that the club are weighing up a potential deal for Bowen and are currently trying to work out how much he would cost them – following their £40m signing of Joelinton from Hoffenheim this week.

Could Newcastle get a deal over the line for Bowen?

Given the various links since Joelinton’s arrival at the club, it would appear as though Newcastle still have plenty left in the bank to play with before the end of the transfer window.

The Chronicle also claim that Arsenal were lining up a £12m swoop for Bowen, which suggests that he may be available for a fee in that region, which is likely to be within Newcastle’s means.

Bowen would also be a quality addition to Newcastle’s squad, having scored 36 Championship goals in the last two seasons for Hull – coming in on his left foot from a wide right position.

If Newcastle can bring Bowen to Tyneside this summer, their chances of staying up will be increased dramatically.
