Newcastle United will begin the 2019/20 Premier League campaign at home to Arsenal on August 11th.

The Magpies began the previous season at home to the Gunners’ rivals Tottenham Hotspur and will look for a better opening weekend this time around.

Following the Magpies’ opening fixture against Unai Emery’s side, they will travel to newly-promoted Norwich City before making a first trip to Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium on August 24th, ending the opening month with a home game against Watford.

Things don’t get any easier for the Magpies, with Rafael Benitez’s side travelling to Anfield and the King Power Stadium in September.

The Christmas period could be where Newcastle pick up some valuable points, with Newcastle facing Sheffield United, Southampton, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Everton, along with a difficult Boxing Day trip to Old Trafford.

The run-in looks tricky for Benitez and his side, with the Magpies taking on Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool in the final five fixtures, so the Magpies will be hoping they have their Premier League safety secured long before May.

Benitez’s side face Jurgen Klopp’s Reds on the final day on May 17th, so Newcastle fans will be hoping they will be fighting for a place in the top half on the final day over battling to avoid the drop.
