Dwight Gayle has reportedly priced himself out of a move to Leeds United this summer, but is the striker making a mistake?
According to reports from TEAMtalk, Leeds are among the teams looking to sign him after West Brom decided against a permanent move for the player.
However, the report claims that the striker is seeking a deal worth an eye-watering £55,000 a week.
This could be a huge mistake from Gayle if he prices himself out of a move in the summer. He does not seem to have a future at Newcastle and there will only be so many teams that can afford him in the second tier.

Leeds will no doubt be targetting promotion once again next season and Gayle’s goals and Championship know how could be the missing link.
He would also have the opportunity to work with Marcelo Bielsa, providing he stays at Elland Road beyond the summer, a manager who could help take his game to the next level.
There won’t be many better teams in the second tier than Leeds and Gayle may regret this in years to come.
