We have picked out some of his best signings as the Newcastle boss so far which have helped the Magpies during his stint in charge.
Benitez signed Ritchie back in the summer of 2016 from AFC Bournemouth and was one of the club’s key players throughout their successful return back to the Premier League.
The former Swindon midfielder has spent the last few games playing as a wing back and has performed very well.
Ritchie has played 123 games for the North East side and has scored 22 goals and has recorded 23 assists.
The Swiss was signed by Benitez in the summer of last year and has been a sensation at the back for Newcastle this season and is widely regarded as one of the players of the season.

Now on loan at West Brom, Gayle joined Newcastle in 2016 from Crystal Palace when the Magpies were relegated to the Championship.

However, Premier League life has not been easy and he was then loaned out to West Brom with Salomon Rondon moving the other way.

As just mentioned, Rondon is currently on loan at Newcastle and has had a decent season in black and white stripes.
