Now on loan at West Brom, Gayle joined Newcastle in 2016 from Crystal Palace when the Magpies were relegated to the Championship.
In his first season under the Spaniard, the striker scored 23 goals to help send them straight back up to the Premier League.
However, Premier League life has not been easy and he was then loaned out to West Brom with Salomon Rondon moving the other way.
Gayle has scored 239 goals in 71 appearances for the club.
As just mentioned, Rondon is currently on loan at Newcastle and has had a decent season in black and white stripes.
The forward has scored nine goals and has provided seven assists in his time at Newcastle which has helped them retain Premier League status next season.
