French giants Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille are both reportedly keen on offering Rafael Benitez a deal to become their next manager, according to the Mirror.
The Spaniard’s St James’ Park stay remains up in the air, with the 59-year-old’s current deal up at the end of the season.
The former Liverpool manager has discussed the possibility of signing a new deal, however, discussions have stalled with owner Mike Ashley and chief executive Lee Charnley.

Benitez’s uncertain Newcastle future has led to French champions Paris Saint-Germain interest, with German Thomas Tuchel under extreme pressure despite winning Ligue 1.
Tuchel’s side were dumped out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage by Manchester United and lost the final of the Coupe de France to Rennes on Saturday night after being 2-0 to the good.
Marseille, on the other hand, are also keen on Benitez’s services, with the former European champions currently 30 points off Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.
Both clubs are looking to line up a potential move for the experienced boss, and with the long-running contract saga yet to be resolved, Benitez could well end up taking to the dugout in France’s top division next season.
