Newcastle United will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce when they visit West Ham’s London Stadium on Saturday.
Back-to-back 2-0 victories over Huddersfield and Burnley have seen the Magpies ease away from trouble, six points clear of the relegation zone.
In fact, another win against the Hammers will see United move just two points behind their opponents who currently sit in the top half.
West Ham have been in indifferent form recently with Manuel Pellegrini’s side struggling to string a good run of results together.
However, the Hammers pushed Manchester City close in a 1-0 defeat on Wednesday after beating Fulham 2-1 previously.
There have been many impressive performers in the Magpies team in the last few weeks which has seen it difficult for anyone else to break in.
Fabian Schar and Sean Longstaff are two of those who capped off strong performances with a goal apiece in the win against Burnley.
Here’s how we predict the Newcastle team to line up…
GK - Martin Dubravka
Back-to-back clean sheets indicates the Slovakian keeper has recovered from a couple mistakes in previous games.
RWB - DeAndre Yedlin
Was given a rest in midweek but we predict him to replace Manquillo again.
CB - Fabian Schar
Scored a fantastic goal on Tuesday and is a mainstay in the United team.
CB - Jamaal Lascelles
We predict him to start in the middle of the back three again.
CB - Florian Lejeune
Has become an important player in this system with his ability to come out from the back and start attacks.
LWB - Matt Ritchie
Has become comfortable in his new position and we predict him to keep his place.
CM - Isaac Hayden
Since Newcastle’s 2-1 win against Manchester City, Hayden has gone from strength to strength and should start again.
CM - Sean Longstaff
Capped off another strong display with his first Premier League goal and is expected to keep his partnership with Hayden.
CAM - Miguel Almiron
Could be crucial against West Ham’s usual high line with his fantastic pace.
CAM - Ayoze Perez
Linked up well with Almiron on Tuesday and we predict that he will be given the opportunity to do so again.
ST - Salomon Rondon
Has been important in holding up the play and allowing Almiron and Perez to run beyond him, only an injury will keep him out of the team.
