Newcastle United will be looking for back-to-back wins when they host Burnley tomorrow night.
Just three days on from their impressive 2-0 win against Huddersfield, the Magpies will see this as a great opportunity to pull further clear of the relegation zone.
That result moved United up the 15th in the Premier League table and four points clear of the bottom three.
With Southampton not playing until Wednesday, Rafa Benitez’s side can move seven clear of the side sitting 18th and in the final relegation spot.
However, they face a difficult test against one of the in-form teams in the division.
Burnley are unbeaten in eight league games and are off the back of beating third-placed Tottenham on Saturday.
This leaves Sean Dyche’s team one place and two points above Newcastle with both sides’ relegation fears being eased in recent weeks.
Benitez has an interesting selection dilemma ahead of him given the short gap between games and potential need to rest players who have impressed so much.
Here is how we predict the Newcastle team to play Burnley:
GK - Martin Dubravka
Will have taken heart from a clean sheet against Huddersfield and we predict him to start between the sticks again.
RWB - DeAndre Yedlin
We predict him to keep his place at right-wing back
CB - Fabian Schar
Has been an important player recently and we predict him to start on the right side of the back three.
CB - Jamaal Lascelles
The skipper will be important in preventing the in-form Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.
CB - Florian Lejeune
Had an impressive game against Huddersfield and we predict him to complete the back three.
LWB - Matt Ritchie
Has taken to his new position like a duck to water and impressed of late.
CM - Isaac Hayden
Could be rested with the returning Ki, Diame and Shelvey filling in but would be harsh to drop him.
CM - Sean Longstaff
Arguably the man-of-the-match against the Terriers and should start again.
CAM - Miguel Almiron
Had a fantastic debut and could be crucial in breaking down the stubborn Burnley defence.
CAM - Ayoze Perez
Has had improved performances recently and capped off with a goal against Huddersfield.
ST - Salomon Rondon
Not much doubt about the Magpies number nine starting up-front.
