Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles has spoken out on Aleksandar Mitrovic ahead of his return to St James’s Park this weekend, the Shield Gazette reports.
Mitrovic, 24, shone on-loan at Craven Cottage last season as he helped Fulham to earn promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Fulham made the move permanent in the summer and so far this season, Mitrovic has already hit the back of the net on seven occasions.
The Newcastle captain spoke to NUTV to say that he is expecting a tough game up against his former team-mate.
Mitro’s a good striker.
He’s smart. He can be a nightmare for centre-halves.
We’re all paid to do our jobs. We’ll be full of confidence and hopefully we can get a good win in front of the fans.

Lascelles urged his side not to get complacent despite Fulham being bottom of the league.
They’re bottom of the league, but they’ve got some good players in their team.
Mitro’s a good striker and they’ve got a good midfield. They do try to play good football.
Every game in the Premier League will be a difficult game. There’s not one game where you think you’ll easily beat them.
We just need to make sure we play in the right way with the same attitude.
