Newcastle interested in deal to sign Sol Bamba
Newcastle are one of three Premier League sides said to be interested in a deal to sign Sol Bamba from Cardiff City in January.
According to Calciomercato, Newcastle, Fulham and West Ham are all keen, with Rafa Benitez said to be an admirer of the defender.
Bamba has been a key figure for Neil Warnock’s side, both in their promotion from the Championship and in the top flight.
His performances in the Premier League have clearly not gone unnoticed, as teams now try and poach him from one of the favourites to go down this season.
Cardiff will understandably be desperate to keep hold of the player who has become something of a cult hero at the club.
The report claims that a fee between £2-3 million could be required if any club wants to sign him, but Warnock will be reluctant to lose one of his key players on the cheap.
With Cardiff among the favourites to go down, clubs could be looking ahead to next season in a bid to offer Bamba Premier League football.
