Newcastle United have established an interest in signing Sofiane Feghouli from Galatasaray, according to claims from the Turkish media.
The Magpies have already been linked with a host of players ahead of the January transfer window, with manager Rafa Benitez understood to be making his plans early.
It is reported by Aksam, as translated by Sport Witness, that Algerian international Feghouli has emerged as a target for Newcastle following his difficult season in the Turkish Super Lig so far.
The former West Ham United star has played a sporadic role for Galatasaray this term and has started just five games in the top flight.
Feghouli impressed during his time at Valencia before completing a switch to the Hammers. He struggled to influence proceedings during his short stint in English football but it seems Newcastle could provide the winger with a second chance.
The 28-year-old has contributed with no goals and no assists in his 10 league appearances in 2018/19.
