Newcastle are interested in a deal to sign Diego Llorente from Real Sociedad, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish Radio station Cadena SER, as cited on Tribal Football, report that Rafa Benitez is keen to bring the player to the Premier League.
The claims have been followed up by the reliable Scouts in Attendance, who also state the Magpies had officials watching the player during Spain’s 1-0 win against Bosnia over the weekend.

Benitez is desperate to add to his squad in the new year and will undoubtedly face a battle to land Llorente.
Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked in recent weeks, but Newcastle have the added bonus that regular game time is far more likely at St James Park.
The former Real Madrid youngster is said to have a €30 million release clause in his contract, meaning any potential suitors could have to splash the cash for his services.
