Mike Ashley has reportedly flown out to America for talks over a potential takeover bid.
According to reports in the US, as cited on the Mirror, a £350 million bid has been launched, but Newcastle are remaining coy on the suggestions.
Ashley has been looking to sell for some time but is refusing to let the club go on the cheap.
Tensions are continuing to rise at St James’ Park, with fans demanding that Ashley moves on in the near future.

The latest claims follow separate suggestions from last season that hinted a takeover was close, but no deal ever materialised.
As was the case in the last campaign, Newcastle’s position in the Premier League is likely to cause concerns in negotiations.
The club’s supporters will be hoping a deal is struck soon, with concerns also rising over Rafa Benitez’s future.
Newcastle have not made any official comment regarding claims that a takeover is imminent.
