The agent of Newcastle United target Miguel Almiron has confirmed that he visited St James’ Park last week to watch the game against Bournemouth.
Almiron’s agent Daniel Campos has reportedly confirmed to Paraguayan radio station Futbol a lo Grande, as cited on HITC, that he was in the country taking in a Premier League game.
The Atlanta midfielder is being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in January, with Arsenal and Newcastle both credited with an interest in signing the player.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the player with some suggestions that a deal had been agreed for the January window.
Newcastle have also been linked, with Rafa Benitez in desperate need of January reinforcements as he attempts to beat the drop.
The playmaker has impressed in the MLS and Newcastle will face a fight in the race to sign him during the new year.
