Newcastle United are unlikely to pursue a permanent deal to sign Salomon Rondon from West Brom.
According to a report from Chronicle Live, as reported by Shields Gazette, the Magpies are set to look elsewhere when the summer window rolls around.
Rondon has been unable to get his Newcastle career off the ground so far this season, making just four starts so far.

The Venezuelan has been hampered by injury problems, which have cast doubts over the possibility of a permanent move to Newcastle.
West Brom have certainly come off as the better side in the deal, with Dwight Gayle scoring for fun in the Championship with the Baggies.
The Magpies have been short of goals in the final third this season and are likely to dip into the January market to sign another striker.
Rafa Benitez’s side have recently been linked with a move to sign Sebastien Haller from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
