# Dubravka calls for Newcastle crunch talks

Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has told the club’s players to hold crunch talks among themselves to get to the bottom of their poor form.

The Magpies have struggled to get their season going and find themselves in the bottom three after just seven games.

Rafa Benitez’s side are yet to win this season and have just two points to their name.

[Speaking to Chronicle Live](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/martin-dubravka-demands-honest-meeting-15223977), Dubravka demanded more from his Newcastle team-mates.

> We need to find it ourselves. We need to analyse everything, but we have to be honest with each other – we have not done that until now I think.
>
> We should have a meeting and discuss things, sometimes you have to do that. Sometimes, that can help the players.

Newcastle were dealt a very tough hand in their opening run of fixtures. They have already faced the likes of Tottenham, City, Chelsea and Arsenal this season.

However, with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United up next, Newcastle know they have to start picking up points sooner rather than later.

The club’s poor form has raised more doubts over the long-term future of Benitez at the club after yet another difficult transfer window.
