Manchester United and Celtic were among the teams to send scouts to watch Newcastle United duo Sean Longstaff and Freddie Woodman.
According to Chronicle Live, both players were watched by scouts from Manchester United, Kilmarnock and the Scottish championship during a recent Under-23 game against Southampton.
Both players are very highly thought of at Newcastle, with the latter already earning rave reviews this season.
Longstaff spent last season on loan at Blackpool and is being tipped to push for a first-team place at St James’ Park.

Woodman, on the other hand, has been linked with big moves for some time.
His contract at the club expires at the end of the season, meaning clubs outside of England would be able to sign him for just £300,000, in what would be considered a bargain deal.
The England youth international was expected to leave on loan this season but will remain with the club’s academy after seeing a temporary exit blocked by the club.
