Newcastle’s hopes of landing Stanley Nsoki in the near future appear to be dwindling, with the news that Paris Saint-Germain are to reward him with a new deal at the club.
According to L’Equipe, as cited on Sport Witness, Nsoki is set to be given improved terms on what will be his first professional contract after emerging as one of the surprises of the season so far.
The defender began the campaign far down the pecking order at just 19 years of age, but he has been ever present during for the Ligue 1 champions.
Nsoki has made four appearances so far this season, three of which have been starts.
Newcastle were particularly keen to sign the player over the summer, while the report also cites interest from Marseille, but the French giants were unwilling to lose the promising youngster.
Rafa Benitez was keen to strengthen defensively over the summer but Nsoki was a player that he missed out on.
