# Caen keen on Rolando Aarons loan deal

French side Caen are reportedly looking at a deal for Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons, according to reports from France.

Foot Mercato, via [GetFrenchFootballNews](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2018/caen-targeting-rolando-aarons-newcastle-matheus-pereira-sporting/) are reporting that Ligue 1 side Caen are looking at a deal for Newcastle’s young midfielder, who spent some time on loan at Hellas Verona last season.

The French Ligue 1 side are reportedly looking to upgrade their attacking talent before the start of the season, and are also looking at a deal for Brazilian winger Matheus Pereira from Sporting Portugal.

Aarons has had a difficult injury-hit career at Newcastle, which did start off promisingly.

The young winger had been touted as a top prospect, before injuries hampered his career.

Rolando Aarons spent time out on loan at Hellas Verona, where he never really got going again.

A move to France could be the spark to reignite his career and put his injury hit past behind him.
