Henri Saivet closes in on Bursaspor switch
Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet appears to be closing in on a move to Super Lig side Bursaspor.
The Senegal international has been perennially linked with a move away from St James’ Park since his arrival at Newcastle from Ligue 1 giants Bordeaux in 2016.
After falling out of favour under Rafa Benitez, with the Magpies already well-stocked with midfield options, it seems Saivet is finally likely to secure a permanent move away from the Premier League.
According to exclusive claims from Turkish-Football, Saivet has already undergone a medical ahead of his move to Bursaspor, with a deal agreed in principle.
Saivet played in the Turkish top-flight for the second half of last season, as he joined Sivasspor on a short-term loan deal.
It now seems as though the energetic midfield player will be making his time in Turkey permanent, with Saivet set to reunite with Samet Aybaba at his new club Bursaspor, following an exit from Sivasspor in recent times.
