# Newcastle still in the hunt to sign Danny Ings

Newcastle are still hoping to rival the likes of Crystal Palace, Southampton and Leicester in the race to sign Danny Ings.

[The Liverpool Echo reports](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-confident-banking-huge-danny-14985246?_ga=2.5548531.1748468618.1533208072-122868262.1514815901)that all four Premier League sides are in the running, despite Crystal Palace leading the way.

The Reds are hopeful of receiving upwards of £20 million for the striker this summer.

Our sister site, Read Liverpool [reported earlier this week that the striker was closing in on a £24 million move](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2018/08/01/danny-ings-set-to-sign-for-crystal-palace/) to Selhurst Park.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are determined not to sell the player on the cheap, despite the limited amount of football he has played since joining the club.

Ings joined Liverpool from Burnley for just £6.5 million, meaning the Reds are in line to make a big profit on the forward who has been plagued by injuries during his time at the club.

The striker has decided to leave Liverpool this summer to go in search of regular first-team football.
