Newcastle have reportedly held talks over a deal to sign defender Stanley N’Soki from Paris Saint-Germain.
Sky Sports claim that a deal could happen with Rafa Benitez believed to be a huge fan of the French youngster.
N’Soki is a French youth international and has been a regular feature for the club throughout pre-season.
Despite only making one senior appearance for the Ligue 1 champions, it is believed that the deal would cost Newcastle around £7 million.
Benitez has been very vocal about his displeasure over the number of deals, or lack of deals that have taken place at St James’ Park this summer.
N’Soki came through the ranks in Paris after joining as a youngster. He has also represented France at every youth level from U-16s up until U-20.
The 20-year-old could be seen as someone to push Paul Dummett for a place in the first team, in a position that caused the Magpies a lot of problems last season.
