Newcastle are firmly still in the race to sign Bristol City defender Joe Bryan according to reports in Bristol.
The Bristol Post report that Newcastle’s interest in the full-back has not wavered despite reports emerging saying otherwise.
Lee Johnson is reportedly seeking over £6 million for Bryan, who was a key player for the Robins last season.

Bryan limped off in the Robins last pre-season friendly against Bournemouth on Friday, with the defender appearing to overstretch during a challenge, holding his shin as he left the pitch.
Bristol City boss Johnson hoped that the injury was not too severe, and that the defender would be assessed ahead of the Robins first game of the season next week.
Bryan would provide good cover at full back for Newcastle, as Rafa Benitez looks to improve his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Bryan was a key player as Bristol City shocked many by making the Semi-Finals of the Carabao Cup, only losing to eventual winners Manchester City.
