Newcastle United are reportedly interested in a summer deal for Torino central defender Nicolas N’Koulou.
The Magpies are out to add further quality to their squad ahead of the start of the season next month and according to a report from leading French news outlet L’Equipe, N’Koulou is a man who they are considering a move for.
N’Koulou enjoyed a strong season in Italy with Torino and his displays appear to have piqued the interest of several clubs, with Newcastle understood to be in the race.

The 28-year-old has only recently arrived at Torino on a permanent basis, having enjoyed an initial, season-long loan spell at the club last term.
However, this does not appear to have deterred the likes of Newcastle, with the club allegedly keen to try and convince Torino to turn a profit on N’Koulou this summer.
Newcastle are joined by fellow Premier League competitors West Ham in the race for N’Koulou, according to L’Equipe.
