Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden has handed in a transfer request at the club, according to a report from the Mirror.
The former Arsenal protege is believed to be keen on securing an exit from St James’ Park, with the primary reason claimed to be related to exceptional family circumstances.
It’s stated by the Mirror that Hayden, who figured regularly for Newcastle in the first half of last season, wants to make the move to a club based in the southern region of England.

The news is sure to come as a blow for the Magpies, who only recently lost Mikel Merino to Real Sociedad. After signing Ki Sung-yueng from Swansea City on a free transfer, too, it seems Rafa Benitez will be tasked with recruiting yet another midfield player this summer.
Hayden is said to be keen on sealing a move down south in as swift a fashion as possible, with Newcastle understood to be aware of their midfielder’s ongoing predicament.
