Newcastle’s offer for Plea revealed
Newcastle reportedly bid £20 million in their pursuit of Nice’s Alassane Plea, according to The Chronicle.
This offer is believed to be close to the figure bid by Borussia Monchengladbach who have reportedly cooled their interest in the Frenchman.
The Bundesliga side have reportedly cooled their interest in the player, with Monchengladbach not willing to increase their offer in the Nice player.
Lyon are reportedly demanding over 20% of any future fee for Plea, which has resulted in Nice hiking up their asking price to the £27million mark.
Fulham and West Ham are both reportedly interested in Plea. However, reports from France are saying that Sevilla and Valencia are both taking a look at the striker, which could put them out of the race.
Newcastle are reportedly looking at Plea, as they aim to strengthen their striking options. Soloman Rondon of West Brom is another reported target, with the Venezuelan keen to leave the relegated Baggies.
