Townsend left Newcastle to sign for Palace when the club was relegated to the Championship in 2016.

Palace triggered his £13m release clause at the time, following his £12m to Newcastle from Tottenham six months prior.
The 26-year-old has gone on to score five goals in two Premier League seasons for Palace.
Townsend made 13 Premier League appearances for Newcastle and netted four times, as he came close to keeping the club in the division.
There is no mention at this time of how much Crystal Palace would want for the former England international.
