Fulham are looking to wrap up a deal to sign Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic following Serbia’s exit from the World Cup.
The Times reports that the Premier League new boys are looking to step up their interest as they prepare for life back in the top flight.
Mitrovic played a key role in their promotion from the Championship and has been widely expected to complete a permanent move to Craven Cottage this summer.

Previous reports have suggested that the Magpies were keen to hold off until after the World Cup, with the hope that a couple of impressive performances from the Serb could spark a bidding war for his services.
That no longer appears to be the case as Mitrovic found the back of the net just once for Serbia during the group stage.
Newcastle value the player at close to £20 million, but it is yet to be seen how much Fulham are willing to pay for the striker.
