Newcastle United are reportedly interested in recruiting Guingamp midfielder Clement Grenier in a cut-price deal this summer.
A host of players have been linked with moves to St James’ Park this summer and the latest is Grenier, who looks set to leave Guingamp and seek pastures new in the immediate future.
According to a report from L’Equipe, the Magpies are among a host of clubs across Europe who are keen to recruit Grenier from the Ligue 1 side.

It’s stated in the report that potential suitors may have the opportunity to land the French midfielder in a cut-price deal, with L’Equipe indicating that Grenier could be snapped up for a fee as low as €3m.
Grenier, who was once tipped for big things, has seen his career plagued by long-term injuries in France. However, this does not appear to have deterred the likes of Newcastle, who have been linked with a surprise swoop to land him.
