Newcastle United are one of several teams expressing an interest in signing Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer on loan.
According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies have joined Championship trio Birmingham, Norwich and Sheffield United in the race to sign the player.
Palmer spent the second half of last season on loan at Derby County after struggling with injuries.

The England youth international started last season on loan at Huddersfield, but injuries prevented him from holding down a regular place in the side.
The midfielder played a key role in Huddersfield’s promotion to the Premier League but missed out on the chance to make a mark in the top flight, something he’ll be hoping to put right.
Birmingham have been tracking the player for some time, after expressing an interest in him during the previous January window.
Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season and Palmer could be seen as someone who could provide valuable depth.
