Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the summer transfer window, according to Lee Ryder of the Chronicle.
The 28-year-old has been told that he can leave Liverpool this summer if anyone is willing to pay the £15million asking fee and Newcastle have been contacted to see if they are interested.

Rafael Benitez wanted to sign Sturridge on loan in January but the striker decided to join West Brom instead, something which Benitez has not forgotten.
The Newcastle boss has other strikers above Sturridge on his list of targets but if he can’t get those players in, then he could decide to make a move for the England international.
Sturridge is looking for a move to a club where he can play regular first-team football but having rejected Newcastle once before, it’s unclear if he would be willing to join the Magpies if offered the chance this summer.
