Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for Torino right-back Lorenzo De Silvestri in recent weeks, but the player himself has insisted that he has no intentions to leave the Serie A side.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a strong season with Torino and his displays have seemingly piqued the interests of some Premier League clubs.
Newcastle and Leicester City were recently touted as potential destinations for De Silvestri, and he has since spoken out about whether or not he’d like to seek pastures new this summer.

As quoted by Goal, the experienced defender said:
I had a great season at Torino and I am glad to see that people have noticed. I’m very happy at my club but it’s always a pleasure to know that there could be interest from the Premier League.
The Magpies could be looking to recruit a new defender on the right-hand side, with DeAndre Yedlin lacking genuine competition for his place in Rafa Benitez’s starting line-up.
From right-back, De Silvestri managed to find the net on an impressive seven occasions for Torino last season, further exemplifying the attacking threat that he possesses.
De Silvestri will hope to build on a strong campaign with Torino and it seems he will be playing his football in Italy once again next season.
