Newcastle are demanding at least £20million for striker Aleksandar Mitrović this summer, and won’t do business with Fulham at their desired price of £15million, according to Chronicle Live.
The Serbian striker is World Cup bound this summer which could even see his price tag rise, while a very successful spell on loan with Fulham has already seen his value meteorically rise.
Not only did Mitrović help lead the Cottagers into the Premier League via a play-off win over Aston Villa last week, he also scored 12 times in 17 games for the London based outfit in the Championship.

Now he is hot property, which is music to Newcastle’s ears, as they can name their price for the 23-year old forward.
With Rafa Benitez still uncertain over how much money he will be awarded this summer, despite owner Mike Ashley’s promise to give him “every penny”. With this in mind, Newcastle will once again need to play smart on the market, which is why they will demand top dollar for their hot property.
Mitro’s valuation is also seen as a fair estimation, given the dramatic change in the transfer market over the last few years.
While some Magpies fans are hoping to see Mitrović play his football on Tyneside next season, this too seems unlikely. While Benitez is on the hunt for a target-man, he’ll be looking for one who will fit his system better than Mitrović did.
