Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign former Liverpool star Martin Skrtel from Fenerbahce this summer, according to reports from Turkey.
The Magpies will be keen to bolster their squad ahead of next season and if Fotomac are to be believed, they will have the opportunity to land the experienced Skrtel.
Having once been a key player for the Super Lig outfit, the 33-year-old is now seemingly regarded as surplus to requirements at Fenerbahce and will be afforded the chance to seek pastures new this summer.

Rafa Benitez will be well aware of what Skrtel has to offer, with the Spaniard having signed the Slovakian central defender during his stint at Anfield.
10 years have passed since Benitez landed the defender, however, and there are evidently concerns over whether or not Skrtel is capable of playing regular football at a high standard following his decline in Turkey.
Fotomac do not indicate if Newcastle are indeed keen on a deal for Skrtel, but it seems they will be given the chance to bolster their defence with experience with the former Liverpool man on offer.
