Newcastle United defender Chancel Mbemba is set to negotiate a move to RSC Anderlecht in the coming days, according to Belgian reports.
Mbemba is poised for an exit from St James’ Park this summer after falling down the pecking order at Newcastle. The likes of Celtic and Hoffenheim have been linked but a return to Belgium seems likely for the DR Congo international.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, the 23-year-old will continue discussions with Anderlecht as the Belgian club aim to secure a deal to re-sign their former defender.

The once-promising defender is now regarded as nothing more than a squad player at Newcastle following the emergence of Florian Lejeune in central defence next to Jamaal Lascelles.
Mbemba will be hoping to revitalise himself back in Belgium, with a return now looking extremely likely to happen.
Anderlecht also want to sign Matz Sels from Newcastle. The goalkeeper enjoyed a strong loan spell at the club last season and the Pro League giants are seemingly intent on signing him permanently.
