Fulham deal for Mitrovic relies heavily on promotion
Fulham want to sign Aleksander Mitrovic on a permanent basis, but the signing relies on promotion to the Premier League report The Standard.
Mitrovic has scored 12 goals since joining the Cottagers on loan in January. Now Fulham want to sign the striker for £15 million, if they gain promotion to the Premier League on Saturday.
Fulham face Aston Villa in the Play-off 2018 final, which will see one of the two teams promoted to the Premier League. The signing of Mitrovic relies on Fulham’s victory.
Mitrovic’s form at Craven Cottage has sparked the attention of other clubs after the in-form striker won Championship Player of The Month twice, winning the award in both March and April.
Fulham have been out of the top flight for three years now and will look to return to the top flight of English football with a victory over the Villians. Jokanovic, the Fulham manager is in high demand as well after such an impressive season. The Fulham head coach said:
I am only thinking about the final and I do not have time to think about different things.
I have enough important jobs at the moment to think about these kinds of situations. I have a contract and that is it. I am not thinking about my future or about players’ futures. What is important is the game against Villa. After this game, we are going to see.
